New 5km XC PB 18:54 last tuesday!

and new 3000mPB (track Shane)10:48 tonight!(3:30 first km so a Pb there as well!)

Sorry the blogging has been almost non existent it's hard to run alot and spend much blogging time!
On the upside my 5km times have dropped by about 2 mins this season and if i keep it up for the final race next tuesday then i may have a chance of further personal glory :)

R2B

Oh 6 Ft you ask? training going well and only missed one long run (last week, poor week actually) but too late to catchup as it's taper time!
Now will i be able to back up for Canberra?Who knows...in fact i am not sure what pace i might be capable of not withstanding those silly pace calculators!
Anyway i will try to be back with more soon.

Congratulations on the 5 km pb. 18:54 is a great time. Those 6 seconds under 19 mins really mean something.

I've got our club's 5 km handicap on this Saturday. At my current fitness I'd be happy with 20 but will probably be closer to 21-22.

Don't have to apologise for not blogging. Do it when you want to.

Nice Work Adrian! Congrats Dude! Wow - what a phenomenal last few months you've been having. It appears that you've found that perfect balance of training your speed and endurance & it's paying off in both camps to boot! I must admit - my jaw dropped when I saw your 5k X/C time on the KJ's web site as I know that is a really tough course and I think u would've been stoked with that time on a flat road circuit... So, what is next?? 6ft is looming large and the confidence you've gained from the past months of racing and training must be huge. But remember that whatever happens in the Blue Mtns in a month's time, you have kicked some seriously big goals to get there mate and u shoudl be really proud of what uv been able to achieve - I know I am! :-) JR.

Wow, PBs falling all over the shop...congratulations!
Have a great run at 6Ft (in case you don't get back here before then) - sounds like you've had a good lead in. Would be good to see you down at Canberra if you were able to back up...see how you go.

Congrats on taking 2 min off your 5km times this season, thats great.

Glad to hear the training is going well for 6 foot. I saw on the entry list that Sevgi is entering also. Wish her good luck for me.

PS. I might be doing a few of the KJ runs this winter season so I might see you there.

I might do less blogging and more running as I could do with some "personal glory" too.

Well done R2B

Congratulations on the PB's mate. Fantastic. Looks like the hard yards are being done in your training for Six Foot. Hope you can do another PB in that last race of the season as well. See you at Six Foot.

That is a fantastic improvement mate, your times have come down so much in the last few months.

Hope your training continues to go well and you have a great race at 6ft.

Congrats on the PB. I would give up some blogging time for a 5k time like that.

My God, what do you eat for breakfast R2B! I can't recall improvement stories like this for some time from anyone. That's fantastic progress and well done to you. I'm not sure of your age, but can only imagine you have much more room for improvement. Those times are very, very impressive.

Lots of hard work and clever thinking went into those performances I am sure.

(and I've made the big D in reference to your lovely post on my blog)

Huuuuge congrats R2B!!! Wow, that is a fantastic 5k time. All that 6ft training hasn't done your leg speed any harm, quite the opposite.

Happy tapering :-)

Some great running there. look forward to meeting you at SFT. And you're planning on doing Canberra too? Like you, I'm not sure how I will back up either - its a learning experience.

Great job on all the PB's. Your tenacity towards reaching your goals is very inspiring. I also like the quotes you have on your blog. If you get a chance, please visit my running web site, Faithful Soles. I have a categorized and searchable Running Blog Database on there and would appreciate it if you would link your blog to it. I have several other runners from Australia already on it and would appreciate you including yours. Thanks, and continuing smashing those PB's.
